Arvada, CO: The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) announced last week that CounterTrade Products, Inc. was selected for a procurement contract valued at over $5 million dollars. The contract is crucial to the Agency’s technology refresh and upgrade goals. CounterTrade is responsible for providing USAID a wide variety of technology solutions from two leading manufacturers in the technology hardware industry: Lenovo and Apple.
By establishing this Blanket Purchasing Agreement (BPA), USAID hopes to limit the number of varying computing models and software within the agency. The BPA establishes a contract to provide standardized Windows and Mac computing procurement platforms to USAID personnel. By awarding CounterTrade, a company with over 26 years in fulfilling federal agency technology goals, USAID will have not only increased uniformity in their computing platforms, they will also receive superior asset management, lower Total Cost of Ownership and a compliant contractor
"Receiving an award for this contract exemplifies a main philosophy of our organization," explained Joe Boglino, VP of Sales. "CounterTrade focuses on sculpting solutions specific to the needs of a federal organization-regardless of brand. By receiving a contract for equipment from two very different manufacturers, it proves to the industry, and our existing clients, that we are dedicated to solutions based on objectives, not brand. We are loyal to our clients needs, as opposed to our manufacturer partner's needs."
CounterTrade expects the first order from this contract within the next few weeks
